YES...I'm Still Kickin!!!

It's sad to look back and see that my last post was in July when we went to San Diego. I feel like my day to day life is pretty much like the movie GroundHog Day. But as I write this back & try and think of all the things that have been going on in our lives there has been a lot going on.
Here are the best things that happened to us. (also only events that I have pictures about haha)

We were able to go to Flagstaff for Cecilys last holiday dinner at NAU & I always love going. It was freezing weather & lets just say I almost killed Colin & I on the way up.

Ah...Story Time

well we were almost to Flagstaff & it was snowing like no other. Of course I was driving & never driven in snow. Colin said just drive slow & follow the tracks that the car in front of us is making. So I was doing as I was told & of course I starting swaying side to side & the next thing we know we are starting to spin & did a complete 360. Scariest thing in my life...but we survived :)

Do you ever sit & start thinking of all the stuff that is going on in the world today? It's completely OVERWHELMING (i recommend not doing it)

My heart aches for every person that feels lost in this world or is hurting because of things that are happening in their lives. I'm not saying my life is perfect because its 98.2 % not normal. But me having these thoughts as I'm laying in my bed & feeling completely depressed I rolled off my bed, knelt, prayed & realized

I'm so blessed...

* to know that I will always receive comfort when I ask for it

* to have the gospel in my life

* to know that I have someone looking over me & that He loves me

* to be living at this time

* to have such an awesome/amazing family

* to have a calling in Primary where I hear sweet children sing with all their heart the Primary songs.

* to have the life I'm trying to live with my head held high

My family went to San Diego with the rest of Mesa back in July. We had a blast and the weather was freakin awesome!! It was hard to come back to Mesa weather & of course reality.

No we are not lame & go to the beach in our clothes haha. We just barely got there & decided to go right down to the beach.

haha after they had the slide built. All of these blue shirt kids from a summer camp came next to us. There was seriously 50 kiddos. My nieces & nephews being very protective of there creation grabbed everything of ours & made a border around the slide. They even walked around it like lil security officers :)

What better way to get ready for Harry Potter Part II than to have a

Harry Potter Party w/ the fam & dress up & watch Part I!

Let me tell you it was a blast. I was so happy and surprised that everyone dressed up. I had been wanting to do this for awhile so I had some ideas stored up in my little noggin. I put a sign on the door that said Platform 9 3/4 & thought wouldn't it be awesome to have a cart by the door. So I told my mom & the plan was to go to my grandmas & borrow her truck & drive by the apartments & snag one of Frys shopping carts that are always over there. So we drove by in Lancy (my car) to see if there were any there. We found one & my mom said lets just get it now. umm....I thought she lost her mind cuz there was no way it would fit in there. But she loaded the front tires in my trunk then told me to wiggle my way in the trunk & hold it on our way home

my lovely friend Krystal put together a dinner party for us & our hubbies and it was

AWESOME!!

It was a Mexican fiesta & she totally went all out!!

She had festive decorations, pork tacos, pina coladas with umbrellas and the best part was we could take home are adorable cups she bought! (i'm drinking out of mine as i blog)

The night was a blast...

good food: really really good food I could have ate a billion more tacos

fun games: we played curses & some chair game (that the guys lost at & were accusing us girls as cheating...silly boys we don't cheat we are just awesome)

some great laughs: Luke being cursed way to many times, Liz doing the sprinkler while she talked, Chad calling our group of friends the "nasty" sisters instead of "sassy" sisters, Kasey rapping (its what she does best), Krystal being a british/irish pirate etc.

Thanks krystal for always pulling us together I sure do appreciated all your work!!

I love me some summer! My husband is out of school for the summer & it's fun to go to the places where we have always wanted to go together FINALLY!!

We went to Body Worlds & it was so much fun & to check things out with the lover. We enjoyed going to the fun exhibits before body worlds.

I had fun on the lil spinny thing

but didn't realize how fast I was going until after I stopped and tried to walk away. Now I know why they had the boxers rings around the spinny thing :) Thanks babe for snapping this picture

See this is when I get upset with myself....I live in Mesa for one & this store is located on Gilbert & Mckellips smack dab in the middle of "it's a small world after all". So...why in the world do I think I can sneak into a place with no makeup on & in work out clothes & not see anyone I know!!

Okay so back to my good finds. I met my mom at Epic thrift store

(the name makes me chuckle every time, cuz my husband uses the word epic ALL THE TIME!!)

Colin: "OMG that movie was seriously epic"

Now I'm going to start using the word & he will be so proud. So i will grit my teeth and

(drum roll please)

"I found something EPIC at the EPIC thrift store"

SEE!!!!

adorable flower to put on the center of my kitchen table & a frame that I will paint & put somewhere in my home hahah

found some sweet seed balls. Do I need them? Not necessarily but every girl needs some decorative balls! BAHAHAH & I found these mustard yellow canisters (obsessed with the color)

Then on the more practical side I bought

An egg tray, 9x13 pan w/ lid, salad dressing bottle & a much needed pot (with dead cricket included...sahweet)

After using about half of a bottle of goo-gone (dumb price tags), sanitizing wipes, & burning my hands while washing EVERYTHING in hot soapy water!!

It's clean & I'm satisfied!

We had an amazing Easter Sunday!!

I was very impressed that I finished my Easter skirt!! I was really close to going Edward scissor hands on it & then throwing it in the garbage but

I FINISHED IT!!!!

( my mom insisted on taking my picture in front of her flowers

even though I couldn't see from the sun hence the strained look haha )

Our day started off with a breakfast @ the in-laws. I enjoy going over there especially when Cecily is in town! We ate good food & then Colin's mom had an Easter egg hunt for us!! haha it was Colin, Cecily, Jacob (fiance) & I outside running around finding Easter eggs.

IT WAS A BLAST!!!

Later, we went to my sisters ward to hear my nephew Ty speak in sacrament!! He did an awesome job & we were so proud of him! I was super impressed cuz he didn't seem nervous at all!! Even when I had to get up and speak in church awhile ago, my voice quivered and cracked for the first minute or two!!

We then ended the day with going to my families get together & ate the traditional Easter food ham, potatoes, rolls (not really my fav) but don't you worry I filled my belly with dessert!

It was a long day & it was great to see family! I hope your Easter was a special one too!!

su-i-cide [soo-uh-sahyd] def. a mixture of all kinds of soda

I remember as a little girl my mom calling me at home & asking what kinds I wanted in my drink!! Think of the looks she probably got...listing off all the drinks from the fountain on the phone and then making a weird concoction.

Bless her heart.

Well end of the story...I wasted my money on a disgusting suicide & tried to steal sips of Colins when he wasn't looking hahah!!

Colin gave me a box of Sees Chocolates the night before my birthday!!! oh were they divine (yes I did say were) cuz they are pretty much all gone YIKES!!! but come on!!! They were all truffles how can you hold a chocoholic back from her goods?!?

It's been awhile since I last posted! Well this last weekend Colin & I babysat our nieces & nephew. We had a blast with them & lots and LOTS of laughs.

One night we played Hedbanz with the kids.

Has anyone heard of that game? The object of the game is to guess the card that is placed on your head by asking questions to your opponents. Playing this with lil miss B & J was quite interesting. This is how our game went....

J had apple on her "hedband"

J: Am I a food?

Me: Yes

J: What color am I?

Colin: Well, you are green, red or yellow.

J: Oh Gosh!!! Am I a hamburger?!?

All of us: WHAT?!? J how did you come up with that?

Then here is the CLASSIC!!

Today I went to Sprouts to buy fruit & veggies for my husband & I!! So as im going to check out I always have to go by the candy bins!!

(bad bad idea)

I was looking at prices of course & realized the cheapest thing was salt water taffy. So the wheel starts turning.... If I buy some of these I can have one a day. They won't be a temptation for me cuz they aren't really my favorite (i'm a chocolate girl all the way)

So I probably get two scoops of salt water taffy...okay I got three scoops

(remember no judging here)

I get home & I find a a good hiding spot for them cuz I'm a naughty wife & hide good things from my hubby :)

This is when it starts going down hill.....

I got on the computer & started blog stalking. I had to get a drink of water & when I came back this is what I found

#1 how did the taffy get out of its secret hiding spot

#2 how did the taffy get in an over sized bowl

#3 why are there so many wrappers

(I took out some of them...(ok most of them), for the picture...

cuz I sense a lil bit of judging here)

Finally it made sense why I needed a drink of water!!

I ATE ALL OF THE SALT WATER TAFFY BUT THREE PIECES!!

Babysitting

Colin & I babysat my nieces & nephews while their parents went on a trip!! I absolutely love watching them!! There was a lot going on & I loved it!! When you babysit you have to entertain especially if its the weekend, so we took the kids to our favorite candy store.

We also took them to feed the duck at a pond that colin used to go to when he was younger! While at the pond we introduced them to our friend George!

Doesn't he just look sassy?!?

We were cracking up at the kids and how they reacted to feeding the ducks!

T: wanted them to follow him!

J: pretty much clung to my legs the whole time and threw the bread as far away from her as she could!

lil miss B & her friend decided to name all of the ducks (hilarious), let's see there was gabriella, nicole, anastaia!! I love kids and their imaginations!

They are great kids & to be honest I didn't like coming home to my quiet little bungalow!!

We went on all the rides...& when I say all the rides I mean ALL THE RIDES!!!

For FHE last night we decided to build/decorate our gingerbread house!!

It all started at...

Colin was the builder

And I was the drinker....hot cocoa of course haha

After our house was built...then came the candy

my mom gave me her stash of candy that she saves for gingerbread houses!! Non of it is "fresh" candy...believe me I kept trying different kinds and really REALLY no bueno!!!

Colin & I worked together to decorate our gingerbread house & it started getting late.

Now I'm not going to say any names on who did this!! But I will say they were really surprised that he actually let them go through with it :)

Then FINALLY at

Colin told me he would love to live in a place just like this

our gingerbread house has to have a place where our gingerbread family can get down a jiggy with it! So we created a disco dance floor with disco ball.

& has a backyard with tire swing & pond!!

Let's just say we were hot chocolated/candied/graham crackered OUT!!

All I can say is that I was spoiled on my anniversary!!

My husband is amazing & put so much time to making our 1 year anniversary special!! We started off our anniversary the day before. We were able to go the the Suns Game!! It was so much fun I had not been since I was in Elementary School & we had sweet seats

One the actual anniversary day we woke at oh... 9:30 which is very rare for us!! It was SOOOOO..... nice to wake up and just chill and talk to my best friend in bed!

We then hit up I-HOP where I gorged on Pancakes & Colin had an omelet & 3 glasses of Orange Juice haha!!

After brunch Colin surprised me with taking me to buy the shoes that I have been wanting!!

the best part is he got me a pair of snap ons

Yes!! I said snap ons!!! SEE!!

Same shoe just different snaps!!! Sah-weet huh

okay then after that we had to stop at the grocery store to get ice!! When Colin mentioned ice my lil ears perked up & automatically my mind started racing trying to figure out what he was up to!!

Right after I watched my hubby pour ice into our cool chest (again very curious) I was told to go to our bedroom & told I would be in VERY BIG TROUBLE if I peeked (he knows me to well)

When he told me it was okay to come out I was told to hop in the car & that we were going to have to go to our favorite place to get a can of pop (bashas 35 cent pops haha that is how we roll). So as he sipped his cola & I sipped my grape pop he surprised me by takin me to fountain hills where there was an arts & crafts festival!!

It was a lot of fun/cheesy/crappy stuff but it was awesome weather and I enjoyed bumming with him & checking out the different booths. Colin had read that there was over 500 tents!

Later he led me back to the car & told me to sit in the car once again haha while he opened the trunk & I was surprised to see that he had packed us a picnic lunch!!

I was so shocked that he had done that!! The best part was it was filled with all the yummy things I have been craving red pepper hummus, crackers, cheese, baguette, brushetta, grapes, & sparkling cider!!!

So we sat on our lil blanket at ate our snacks at watched the fountain go off!!

We had such a fun day that when we came home we crashed and took an amazing two hour nap then went to the Adult Session & listened to awesome speakers!!

Colin was such a great sport & went along with my idea...(next year it's his turn to pick our costume ***SCARY***)

We went to my sisters ward to see my nieces & nephewsKz & T were the vampires

J-B was a witch & lil miss B was a sorcerer

Bry was a dirtbiker (what a shocker haha) & my cousin was a clown hah

And then there is sassy pants....it took me a million picturesto get a picture of her in her costume, all she needed was a candy bar to stand still (should have thought about that after take #52 of her)

Yea I took a chance to take a picture of us after I gave her that candy bar...cuz she loved me after that!

Sunday, I woke up and made Colin a Halloween breakfast hahah

This is a monster breakfast sandwich with water & skull & cross bone ice cubes (hence the green floating on top of the water)

Then sunday night we went to my parents house & the family watched the movie How to Train a Dragon outside on a projector!!

If you haven't seen this movie I suggest you go and get it because it is the cutest movie!!

Last night the girls put together

Annual Pumpkin Carving Party

This is how it goes down every year....

always eat soups/chili/rolls
gorge on delicious treats (anything pumpkin is my fav)
Carve pumpkins
place candles in pumpkins for judging time.

This year our judge was lil miss BShe had the hard job of choosing 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place!! Then went on to choosing 4th & 5th because she felt bad for the ones she didn't already award!! She is a sweetheart

This year J-B & I were on the same team & we created a cute Jack-O-Lantern

Colin on the other hand was taking his carving serious!

He always makes me laugh!! He brought his laptop to the park to sketch out Sparky on paper, then draw it on the pumpkin, then carve it out!!

That is the difference between him & I....he takes time with what he does & hah I don't!

But the end result was awesome!!

Christmas 2009 Colin & I gave our nieces & nephews an invitation to our house for a sleep over. Well now that it's about 3 months before christmas in 2010 we decided to FINALLY have the sleep over!!

Boy was it a party!!

I asked my nephew to bring the wii & of course we needed batteries that we didn't have! So while Colin ran to the store to get some I introduced "the chillins" to photo booth on colins mac!!

I still just laugh at how it entertained them the whole time they were here!!

I had a fun recipe I have been wanting to try so i thought monday night would be perfect!!

what you need.....

half pint canning jars

pie crust and peach filling (utah peaches...yummy to ma tummy)

& two very intelligent looking cooks :)

what you do....

you smush <---(very technical term) pie crust in jars

fill with peach filling

add top crust with cute little designs

(mine on left & colins on right...just in case you were wondering)

Best thing is....

you can freeze these and pop these individual pies in the oven when you are having a lonely moment when your husband is working late on weekends, or when you watch a sad movie, or when you down right feel really naughty (i suggest vanilla ice cream on that occasion)

We put two in the freezer & baked the other two!!

and they were absolutely delish!!

The other night colin was working late & I was hit with the

"craft bug" (that's what I like to call it)!

I was INSANE!! haha

I ran to the fabric store & grabbed a movie from red box & cured my "craft bug"

My last blog was about my guy's birthday

so....let me tell you how it all went down!!

That morning he woke up to

our freezer & snack cabinet tied in a bow!

& inside was most of the junk food things that he has been wanting, but I won't get for him at the grocery store!

Later that day I surprised him with meeting up with his cousin Jory.

They went to Jumpstreet & the sk8asylum (in door skate park)

Where was I you ask?

After their little guy fest...Jory was kind enough to drop him off at the movies

and we saw Eclipse (it was his choice I swear),

then went to Carrabas for dinner....YUMMY!!

After dinner we came back to our home & had cake & opened presents

A Juicer!!! Not just a juicer but a Jack La Lanne Juicer!!

he has been asking for one (i didn't randomly think of this)

Poor Skeeter didn't have a name for awhile his name was Fish then Colin thought of Skeeter the blue character from the cartoon Doug.

you know this guy....

Skeeter was living in one of my small dishes til Colin decided that he needed an actual fish bowl. So off to Goodwill we went and found a perfect home for our little friend.

It's sad to say but we love him...

I think it all started when Colin was cleaning out his bowl and dropped him down are kitchen sink. haha I have never been so nervous! Cuz if we didn't get him out I don't think I could ever EVER turn on the garbage disposal AGAIN! But Colin (the hero) reached in the sink (something I would never do) & fished him out!

Since then...

"Back to life, back to reality"

Well we are back in Mesa for a couple of months before we head back off to DC AGAIN!!! Colin & I decided to leave Mesa and move to Washington D.C. We were walking in a quaint neighborhood & I was admiring how it's actually green there & people had gardens, literally FLOWER gardens. They were so beautiful!

Then we saw it....

our beautiful home the one that I have dreamed about & it was for sale!!!

It was like it was meant to happen. We ran into the real estate agent she told us the price

( only 2.5 million) & my baby whipped out his card & with a quick sign & a lot of "busy" work....We call this home!

Okay not really! But as we were walking around this neighborhood I thought how I wish I could take that house for no cost

with its rod iron stair case & its perfectly trimmed bushes & it's lush gardens of brightly colored flowers & stuff it all in my magic bag like Mary Poppins. Then carry it on the plane with me back to mesa & spill all of my magic bags contents on an empty lot & have it magically appear the way I saw it in DC!! Wishful thinking??? Most definitely!!

But we had an amazing trip!! It was a lot of walking but it was great to spend time with my sexy tour guide & his map!! Oh how I love this man & for taking me on our first REAL trip together & pretending like he knows where is he going 24/7 while we were there!

Today I want to express my love & appreciation for these four women that are in my life.

1 of them I call my mother that gave me life....

2 of them gave me my nieces & nephews that I love dearly....

3 of them I call my sisters....

but all....

4 of them showed me how to love & made me who I am today.

I feel that I was chosen to be apart of this amazing group & that I belong. Every Tuesday we meet at my mothers & it's my favorite day of the week. The bond that we have is truly special. We laugh, we cry, we have amazing discussions, you never know what Tuesday is going to bring & I think that is why I love it so much! Tuesdays are almost needed it's our "vent day" haha. It's funny when I take a step back on these days, and we always congregate in the kitchen (food always has to be available) haha but we always tend to form somewhat of a circle when we talk & I see that it's a circle of love! Each one of them has had such an impact in my life & have taught me something valuable!

These four women I love dearly & wouldn't know what to do without them! We are the "Ya Ya's" we are the "Little Women" we are the "Kellis Klan"

FRIDAY......

Colin & I went and got our Marriage License. The lady that helped us was LDS & it was a great experience for Colin & I.

Couldn't be happier!!!

After we got our marriage license we went to and looked at Ross to see if we could find any good deals. What did we end up doing there?!? haha DON"T LAUGH

We took down two chairs that were for sale & read cookbooks together. The cookbooks we chose tell you all about us. Colin reads a Japanese cookbook while I on the other hand read a dessert cookbook :)

Later, we went back to my house & started packing up all my gifts so my mom can have her kitchen table back & of course we had to get some awesome pictures to show you our excitement of moving.

And of course Colin has to take a butt shot!! He knows my good side hahah ;)

Hey!!! I'm back in the blogging world....miss me?!?

Well....this is what is up!!!

1. My mom & I have been looking at garage sales for my apartment Saturday mornings. So the first thing I bought was a Christmas Tree. For those who don't already know...I work at the Orange Patch Too & had all my decorations for a Christmas tree, but just no tree, UNTIL NOW!!!

Yes, it came with branches but I didn't put them on yet. But hey I got the tree for 5 BUCKS!!! I was stoked.

I texted Colin when I bought it & told him that I just got the first thing for our house & wanted him to come over to surprise him

I made him cover his eyes & his reaction is rolling of the eyes & laughs. He loves me (sigh) :)

But I told him we hit the JACKPOT cuz there was silver tinsle still on it!! SA-WEET!!

2. My mom, sisters & I went shopping for their dresses for my wedding!! It was a blast

Well see this story all started when they met & hung out for awhile & they went to their first fireside together & he told her....

she was on cloud nine & wanted to spend every moment with him, and they did. They had their ups & downs & he finally asked her the night of August 17th, 2009....

So...she of course said "YES!!!" and they couldn't be HAPPIER!! They are so excited to share with everyone that......

Yes it all went down Monday, August 17th around 8:00pm!!!
I know you are all just wanting to know all the details ;)

So let me answer
The Classic Questions for you....

(I'm gonna tease you a bit & leave the good questions to the end)

Question #1: So....how did you two meet?!?

**before I answer...Colin & I decided to start a book together & we wrote down our views on things that happened in our relationship...s/a first time we met, , first date, first kiss, and now PROPOSAL!! So I'm going to type out a shortened version of what he wrote about how we met

HE SAYS:

"Going to Utah for general conference the flights were packed with LDS people flying & so it was also a great opportunity to meet some cute, single LDS girls. At the airport (waiting for the flight back to AZ) I saw a girl walk up out of the corner of my eye. I discreetly moved away until I had a good view of her & I realized she looked familiar. Yes, I was pretty sure that I had seen her before. It was at that moment that the nagging thought that I should approach her came into my mind. I remember thinking, "since she is alone, NOW would be the best time to talk to her!" But what kept me glued to the chair was the thought: "She's alone but what's the point in talking to her- a girl like that for sure has a boyfriend!" I glanced over nervously several times across the walkway where I could see her. Our eyes met several times, and even though I quickly (& obviously I'm sure) looked away, I was sure she knew I was watching her. I decided to go talk to her. When I was talking to her she seemed rather shy but was a way cute girl. I was surprised and excited to find out she was in my grandparents ward.

After the flight & not sitting next to her I knew I would have one last chance to get her number! I got off first but walked slowly down the ramp, so that she could catch up. Not wasting any time we exchanged numbers. Although we had just met, before leaving, I had the urge to hug her, but I said "good luck" & walked out the sliding doors, excited to tell my dad about the great girl I had just met!!!

Question #2: How did he propose?

We had talked about going Geocaching for awhile, so he told me Monday that he wanted to go & got a GPS from his friend Andrew. So with Geocaching you go on the Internet and print out coordinates & log them onto a GPS and it directs to that spot with a compass. The first place that it led us to was Maggianos Italian restaurant. I was confused that it led us there & knew that he made up that destination. So after a delicious dinner we went to two other "true" spots and searched for the hidden treasure. We didn't have much luck so he told me the next places coordinates & told me that this place was called the light house. Totally clueless & way into this GPS I paid no attention where we were going. When we finally got to our destination I looked up and we were at the Temple. Right then and there my heart started beating really fast. He told me to keeping following the GPS & after me not following it correctly & him getting impatient haha he said to look to my left. And there next to a bush were two dozen roses. He led me to a bench & told me that there were 11 cards & that I had to read them in order. Each card had a reason why he loved me. I had just finished with the 10th card and I couldn't find the 11th. He told me it was there so I searched for it and finally found it in the middle & in the card was a beautiful ring. Before I could look up...my Colin was on two knees (his mother says that means he's fully committed :) & asked me to marry him. Of course I said "YES" & got a little teary eyed. We sat and talked about our night & how perfect it was, then we to share the exciting news with family & friends.

Question # 3: Can I see your ring?

So who turned my sweet girly girl to a fearless skater???

THIS GUY!!!!!

It was very cute. Colin was out on the road skateboarding while we were camping. I noticed Brooke watching him & the next thing I know, this was happening.

I was happy that Colin was the one to teach her. You see Brooke has always been stand offish with Colin. Don't ask me why, but she just never gave him the time of day. So on the way up to Big Lake Colin told me that this trip he was gonna win Brooke over. And sure enough he was given his chance & look at the results.

That's right I took my man on a road trip

to the prettiest place. We were both excited when we left haha maybe me a little bit more than him because the guy didn't know what to expect & he was going to be meeting my whole extended family.

This is a video before we got on the highway...we were suppose to leave at 6:00am but you will see in the video what happened haha

Once we got there everyone was out target shooting. I was disappointed that I missed it

cuz I think Colin needs to know that he getting pretty serious with Annie Oakley :)

Everyone came back and we had our family all together for lunch & games! Colin especially loved the lunch...Hot Dogs...YUCK....me no likey!!

After, we played kick ball. I loved watching Colin play with my cousins & brother in laws. I played for a little bit but after I pretty much got booed off the field cuz I can't catch the ball or even kick it, I went out and hung out with my dirt buddies

Later wee all piled into the back of the truck to go shoot rockets

We watched for awhile, then I started to make my nieces flower headbands. While Colin was sneaky & takin pictures...(I will post his pictures from his camera when I can get my hands on it)

It was an AWESOME trip & I can't wait to go back with Colin...

Yeup that's right...the fam didn't scare him off!!

Colin and I were out and about Monday & decided to go to the batting cages!!

Yes, it was 4:00pm...

Yes it was 104 degrees outside....

Yes we were the only idiots outside....

Yes we were only there for a half an hour.....

Yes we had ALOT of fun!!

Friday was my guys birthday!!!

This wasn't taken on his birthday but I just love it...

So back to his birthday

1. EARLY in the morning I put our family clown out in his lawn

2. When he went out to lunch with his family I tied balloons to the clown with his first clue inside telling him to be ready by 3.

3. Picked him up at 3 and gave him his first present

which was....

a bandanna & his first clue....the rules was he had to wear the bandanna until he could figure out the clue.

4. first clue took him to Jamba Juice

5. He then got another clue that led him to the Orange Patch Too. There he had to sing Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam, (Lorene you did awesome) in order to get his next present & clue.

6. Next clue led him to haha his favorite place...hahah his work Deseret Bookstore. Where he got his next present.....

Mint Truffles & a Candle that he liked hahah

& his next clue that led him to......

7. AS YOU WISH!!! We had a blast there!!

It took Colin literally FOREVER to figure out how to decorate his frame....

While I on the other hand was busy working....haha but don't ask who finished first :)

After I paid for As You Wish, Colin was given another gift from the nice girls there

And he got to choose where he wanted to go to dinner.

8. We went to Kabuki at Tempe Marketplace & it was very very good

9. Colin got what he thought was his last present which was one of the mazes that are suppose to take forever to open...

But no he had it opened in 10 min...but hahah oh well, it lead him back to my house.

10. He got his BIG present from me

that went to a MEDIUM PRESENT

then to a SMALLER present

Where he saw the box.....

brain is still processing what it was....

And there we go FOLKS...the look I was so excited to see!!!

11. I was then given a kiss :) & he tried it on & then given another kiss :)

12. Last thing I made him cupcakes that looked like sushi

He was very sweet & thanked me a MILLION times!! So all my plans were a success & it was fun to do something nice for him & put a big smile on his face!!!

I'm trying to catch up on life on the blog :)!! Well Thursday, all the girls went and saw WICKED!!! It was my first time seeing Wicked or any Broadway play...(HSM & Lord of the Dance don't really count for me) haha We all had a blast we went to get dinner before at Macayos ***Yummy*** I loved Glinda she was hilarious!! But of course I fell in love with Elphaba & her voice!!! Simply AMAZING!!!

My Ladies!! I love them all & don't know where I would be without them!!

Amazing Weekend!! PART ONE!!!

This weekend was the best weekend cuz I was able to spend it with my guy!!! Yes Friday AND Saturday he was ALL MINE!!! No I didn't put him on a leash or threaten him that he had to spend all two days with me haha.....SURPRISINGLY he enjoys hanging with me and it was pretty much HIS WHOLE IDEA!!!!

So this is what went down...

Friday we spent all day just going to some PLACES & running errands like Target (where he bought me my pretty blue shirt that are in these pictures) thanks again Colin. Then we went to Home Goods, TJMAXX, we went to the dog pound to look at puppies (made me berry berry sad), I had to get new earpieces for my stethoscope for work, and we went to that new Ranch Market thats on Stapley and Southern (pretty cool....if you are needing a lil fix of Rocky Point I suggest going there ;) ) Then I didn't realize that I was pretty much starving my boyfriend so we went to Applebees & then my favorite place in the WORLD & I think Colin's too now (poor boy has never been there)......IKEA!!!! If any of you know me I'm OBSESSED with that store, that and the container store hahah!! I didn't take a lot of pictures this day but I will show you what I got!!!

Now Saturday we went to........drum roll please

I had so much fun!! We wanted to go to the Grand Canyon to check out the sky walk thing but realizing that I would have to cut off both my arms & both of Colin's legs (his are better quality haha ) & sell them to pay for the tickets....we decided to just pay the entrance fee to the park and drive around instead!!!

The drive up was fun!! Colin pretty much drove the whole way! I think he thought I might be hard to entertain cuz he brought the "special" bag hahah and every hour I got to pick something out of the bag that I think he was hoping would entertain me for the next hour....and he Succeeded!! He is a very thoughtful guy!!

Once we got there I think we drove around the North Rim and stopped at different places to look around and take pictures!!

And on the way home I had to video tape our jam session!!

Colin is really gonna kill me for doing this but its okay cuz it's funny!!! haha Good thing he can't comment on here or I would be in TROUBLE!!!!

Girls Recital

My nieces had a ballet recital the other weekend and they did an amazing job!!
I'm very proud of them!

does anyone see the monkey in the tree?!?

In the recital Jaylee was first & danced to Rocka Bye Baby!! It was really cute cuz all the little girls each had a baby haha that they danced with

Then Brooke danced to a song called Irish (something) haha I don't remember and my favorite part of her dance was her big leap!!

Then of course I can't forget these studly tards that were there too!!

It was a fun day and Jaylee was exhausted & had to have a piggy back ride back to the car ;)

I AM THE LUCKIEST!!!
I have the the sweetest, cutest, most considerate guy EVER!!!
he SPOILS me like no other & I appreciate
EVERYTHING he does for me!!

C- Creative He surprises me in ways that make me smile & laugh & feel like

ONE in a MILLION

He surprised me with flowers and my chocolates...but the thing that made me laugh is the chocolates & how they are staggered.....gotta love it ;)

O- Observant He remembered me saying that I LOVED the sinful Utah Truffles....so he got me one of each.....smart smart guy.....he has already learned you can't go wrong with chocolate

He got me this picture cuz I always looked at it when I go and visit him at work

L-LOVES He loves music. And he made me a mix of songs that reminds him of me & also ones that he knows I like (our taste in music doesn't really mesh...but we are working on it haha)

I- Ideal Boyfriend No need to explain....pictures say it all

N- Noticeably good looking of course I have to brag on the handsome-ness.
